After she completed her work, it took me a few years to turn my attention to the project, and to decide definitely to build the new website in WordPress, rather than updating the custom PHP code that I built for the original website. Pros and cons, you know. Then, some touch-up by me, and voila!

Soon, hopefully, I will add some new music, and insert download buttons where appropriate. Enjoy!

Lost continent of frozen dreams
Where ice surrounds the fires

(The first eight words were clearly sung by a torch song singer in a dream, in another plane or timeline; then my awareness snapped back here. Touched, I decided to imagine the song into being in this plane, and this is what we get.)

But I say, in a deeper human sense, the world is is made of: 
… math and beauty, 
… wretchedness and compassion, 
… stories of wandering and awakening, 
… pure flowing colors and sounds and joys and longing, 
all in an uncontainable weightless sea of awareness and love. 

A crow and a turtle are having a chat on the forest floor. 

The turtle says, “It takes time.” 

The crow says, “Time takes us.” 

A man marches by on the path, and they follow him with their eyes until he disappears over a hill. 

“Where is he going?” wonders the crow. 

“To the other side of the hill,” says the turtle. 

“My friend, you have no imagination.” 

“I imagine a lake.” 

“You remember a lake. I imagine the sky.” 

“You live in the sky.” 

“Not when I am here talking with you. The sky lives in me. I live in the forest. Sometimes I sleep in a nest.” 

“I live in my shell. When I get to a lake, I slide in and rest on the bottom.” 

“So simple,” says the crow, and he flies off.

I looked around, and most of us appeared confidently happy,
Joyous to see him again.
But one woman’s cheeks were covered with tears of joy.
Yes, I recognize those tears.

And I watched closely, secretly, as the tears continued,
On and on as she dabbed her cheeks and eyes with tissue.
Sun, rain, and that leads to rainbow…
Yes, there it is!

Her whole face flaming with love and resolve.
All doubt and self-definition dropped beside the road.
Gratitude, and “I will be you, you will be me,
we will go all the way together, and no one will be left behind.”

What ancient probabilities lurk within?

Did a mammoth kill her?
Or was it that other species of homo?
Can’t be too sure; or maybe we can be all too sure.
Let’s kill them!

And yet, what ancient joys lie sleeping within!

The freedom of the shooting stars.
The music of the wind in the trees.
The stillness of the moon on a lake.
The miracle of snow, that first winter in the north.

Did we come to our senses in these moments?
